Some VWR International
I took a stab at VWR International (Ticker: VWR) today by taking a ~ 8% position with an average price of $33.70. WSJ reported that New Mountain Capital is in talks to acquire the company for ~ $5 billion, which works out to a price in the high 30’s (~ $38 per share based on the assumption of 132 million diluted shares outstanding). I can see other companies interested in VWR as there is a scarcity value in these types of companies that supply reagents / instrumentation to the life science industry.

I tendered SYT. when do you expect that cash will hit your account?
and also for the dividend, when it will be accrued in our account?
The payout should be as follows:
May 16, 2017 Payment of Special Dividend
May 18, 2017 First Settlement
VWR earnings release tomorrow morning.. possibility of buyout tomorrow morning
$INVN looks interesting tomorrow...talks of them losing part of their apple sales to another company...looks like it will open to a discount tmr..
will pick up more. they already mentioned it last aug that they won't be the sole apple supplier for long so that is anticipated.
Mergerpie, I agree... If INVN sells off on the news, it would be a good opportunity to initiate or add to the position.
Correction to SYT dividend payment date:
"Holders of ADSs will receive the Special Dividend in mid-July."
