Sold Some ISSI and AMCN

I sold some more Integrated Silicon Solution (Ticker: ISSI) today at $22.59 (net gain of 3.89% / 28.86% annualized) bringing down my position to ~ 7% of my portfolio. I’ll hold the remaining position through the CFIUS decision. It’s all about risk management… I don’t want a blow up in a security to vaporize my portfolio. I’ve experienced that once before and I never want to experience it again.

I also liquidated my position in AirMedia Group (Ticker: AMCN) today at $5.48 generating a small gain of 0.37%. It’s still early for this arb play so looking to re-enter at a lower price.

Thoughts on MXIM and HOT?

I played MXIM today for quick trade. I think Texas Instruments have a good shot at acquiring MXIM.

I think HOT is a bit hard to play. Will be comprised of a big stock component if Hyatt gets it. Chinese acquirers will face a CFIUS review.

MT, MXIM had run up quite abit. What do you think is the typical premium that MXIM is likely to receive. From the Bloomberg article it seemed like MXIM is not willing to sell cheaply, I am abit scarred by SYT and PRGO saga where both were unwilling to sell despite high premium offered.

I sold my MXIM for a quick ~ 3% gain yesterday. There are sooo many deals taking place, just amazing! AGN looks like a perfect fit for Pfizer, I am looking to play this one as well.

Regarding a possible takeout price for MXIM. I've seen talk of $50, which should be sufficient for MXIM to sellout.
