Some More Integrated Silicon Solution
I increased my position in Integrated Silicon Solution (Ticker: ISSI) to ~ 20% of my portfolio. On Friday, the company received regulatory approval from Taiwan. The only remaining regulatory approval is from CFIUS. The company is now guiding for an early Q4 closing, which to me means a closing by October 31st. There is still a decent spread right here. A very nice risk reward opportunity…

CFIUS delay, worried or nothing to worry?
I still believe there is very minimal risk with CFIUS blocking this deal. The 45 day extended review will allow CFIUS to propose some sort of mitigation measures. In the merger agreement the company / buyers have agreed to accept any mitigation measures proposed by CFIUS to close the deal. I’m now modeling a close by November 13th, a bit later than my initial estimate of October 30th.

and justice department no comment yet.... so it's like illegal insider trading this,

Really disguested. How can know before from INSIDE the justice department news about the deal if will pass or not... and then they publish news after 1/2 hours of Bloomberg knew../rumor... etc etc
It's really illegal this. Not the first time happen, but really that should be banned this way to know before others the news. Streeinsider too published the news as probabily they read it on bloomberg terminals!?
really sad, they left us with nothing! They should regulated this, justice department should have published the news letting know too all people at the same time. So sad!

ISSI 21.64 crashing any news???
I can only guess that Cypress is now making a move on Atmel. If for any reason this deal falls through, Cypress will not be there for another bid for ISSI. Right now, it's just waiting on CFIUS...

I closed position... in loss 2%.
I can't see the stock at 10% yeld like this.
I always avoid the mergers where a chinese part is involved with US company.
I will lose a 10% yeld but this one discract me too much.
